Prepare a treasure hunt at home
A short route can work between the sofa and the hallway. Start with the ending and keep the preparation clear.

Choose the final hiding place first
Put the prize in its container before hiding the first card. Work backwards: the final clue leads to the prize, the previous clue leads to that final card. Card 1 stays in your hand until the game begins. This avoids hiding a card at the place it describes.
Choose one object for each answer
If a clue says book, choose one particular book in the play area and leave a corner of the card visible. Define which rooms are included before the children arrive. Use clean, dry objects within reach. Do not hide anything near appliances, medicines or places that require climbing.
Walk the route yourself
Start with card 1 and follow every answer. Does each hiding place contain the next numbered card? Is the prize already at the end? Keep the adult solution page nearby but out of sight. Pipalumi themes have different routes, so use the guide belonging to your edition.
Help without rushing
If the group gets stuck, give a clue about what the object is used for before pointing to its location. You can read a difficult card aloud or search together. The printed numbers help adults keep the sequence straight; they are not part of the puzzle. There is no need to race.
